Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the State of Qatar Rashad Ismayilov has interviewed by Qatar's Al-Sharq, Al-Arab and Al-Raya newspapers

Broad interviews of the Ambassador were published in Al-Sharq, Al-Arab and Al-Raya newspapers on the occasion of May 28 - Republic Day of Azerbaijan, the 100th Anniversary of the Diplomatic Service establishment in Azerbaijan and the 25th Anniversary of the Azerbaijan-Qatar Diplomatic Relations.

In the interviews, detailed information was given about the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and the achievements gained, activity of diplomatic service in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan-Qatar relations, priority issues of bilateral cooperation, favorable investment climate and tourism in Azerbaijan, as well as about the "Imadeddin Nasimi Year" in Azerbaijan.

Informed that Azerbaijan Democratic Republic founded in 1918 and lasted for 23 months. although of the shortage of its existence the Republic üas a glory page in Azerbaijani history. It was underlined that President Ilham Aliyev successfully pursues the political course of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and the country observes development in all areas today.

Speaking about the Azerbaijani-Qatari relations, the ambassador said that mutual visits by the Heads of both States contributed to the development of cooperation. Noted that more than 30 documents have been signed between the two countries in various fields, and the ambassador briefed about the visits and activities carried out during the current year.

Touching upon the activities of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission and the results of its second meeting held in Doha in February, as well as the visit of the export mission to Qatar in April, the ambassador said the development of economic cooperation in bilateral relations is a priority.

The Ambassador informed about the favorable conditions for foreign investments in our country adding that necessary economic reforms were carried out to protect the rights of investors and the relevant legislation was improved.

The interview also featured the tourism opportunities of Azerbaijan. The life and creativity of the great Azerbaijani poet Imadeddin Nasimi has been mentioned.
